Plastics often end up in landfills or as litter, harming animals and humans. They are made with harmful chemicals that can be damaging to our health and don’t biodegrade, breaking down into micro-plastics. Also, most plastic is not recycled, and the production process is a leading cause of carbon emissions! Shocking amounts of plastic find their way into the ocean, harming marine life and increasing ocean pollution. A decrease in the use of plastic will lead to a better world characterised by less environmental pollution.
