(Bagasse supplies are virtually unlimited worldwide). To obtain both strength and softness we need to then add 30% certified wood pulp = Sustainable. HOW ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND IS GREENCANE MANUFACTURING? We think it is pretty good and hope we have covered all the bases. For commercial reasons we cannot say where our manufacturing plant is exactly but it is in Southern Asia and is based within 200km of where the sugarcane is grown. The paper mill is quality accredited with the environmental international standard ISO14001 and Environmental Choice Australia (pending) which both require it to be subject to external environmental audits. We have visited the mill many times and it is well managed, modern and functioning to a high standard. As part of our own environmental quality standards we plan to continue visits on a regular basis. HOW SUSTAINABLE IS GREENCANE PAPER? Sugarcane is a type of grass; it is fast growing in tropical regions and is farm harvested usually on an annual basis.
